BANDAI CANDY, the Shokugan division of Bandai Co., Ltd. Japan, has officially announced today the 23rd installment of its popular FW GUNDAM CONVERGE Shokugan series, the "FW GUNDAM CONVERGE #" series, which features more intricate and bold designs designated with the "♯(Sharp)" symbol. After nearly two years, "FW GUNDAM CONVERGE #23" is scheduled for release in September 2023.
"FW GUNDAM CONVERGE #" transforms mobile suits from the "Mobile Suit Gundam" series into 55mm tall SD proportions, featuring sharp, cool designs and high-density details. This product release coincides with the broadcast of "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury" Season 2, and not only includes the Gundam Aerial (Rebuild) active in Season 2, but also re-features the Gundam Aerial from Season 1. It also includes popular mobile suits from the Universal Century such as S Gundam, Zeta Plus (Test Machine Image Color), Nero, Jegan, and Luggun & Magella Attack Tank.
1. Gundam Aerial (Rebuild)
Recreates the design of the Gundam Aerial after its modifications, focusing more on combat practicality, with rich armor details. Its armaments include a large beam rifle that can be stored on the backpack and 11 GUND-Bits, allowing the GUND-Bits to be attached to various parts of the mobile suit to enhance mobility or form a shield, just as designed in the anime.
2. S Gundam
The first mobile suit from "Gundam Sentinel," this version features a completely new sculpt, unlike the previously released EX18 and #Plus02 versions. It presents a very sharp head and massive shoulders in SD proportions, and recreates the mobile suit markings on both shoulder armors. It comes with its large main armament, the "Beam Smartgun," and a mount for suspending the rifle on its back.
3. Zeta Plus (Test Machine Image Color)
The second mobile suit from "Gundam Sentinel," this Zeta Plus (Test Machine Image Color) is also based on data from the previously released Zeta Plus (A1 Type) and is produced with completely new parts. It recreates its sharp and formidable head and wing designs, and is painted to reproduce its characteristic orange and white color scheme.
4. Nero
The third mobile suit from "Gundam Sentinel," this marks the first time the Nero has been commercialized in SD proportions. It recreates its heavy armor in an off-white color scheme and the characteristic two pairs of exhaust vents on its chest, boasting a cool physique that rivals the S Gundam.
5. Jegan
Based on the A-type that appeared in "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack," it features high-density sculpting for details such as the head's communication antenna and the three grenades on its left waist, and comes with two armaments: a beam rifle and a shield. Unfortunately, some details are not fully painted.
6. Luggun & Magella Attack Tank
A set that includes both mobile weapons, not only recreating the details of each cockpit and machine gun, but also using metallic paint on the cockpit canopy for a richer texture. With the included clear stand, the Magella Attack Tank can also be displayed in its separated upper and lower sections.
7. Gundam Aerial
Identical in sculpt and specifications to the one previously included in "#SELECTION 03," it comes with armaments such as a beam rifle and a shield. The shield, as per its in-series design, can separate into 11 GUND-Bit parts, which can be attached to the beam rifle, both shoulders, and the rear waist for enhancement.
