Japan's Bandai Toy Company's Gashapon brand 'GASHAPON' today unveiled the painted prototype of its latest product, "Strike Freedom Gundam," from the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny series, for the new Mobile Suit Gundam-themed gashapon toy line, 'MS MECHANICAL BUST Mechanical Bust.' The release date is yet to be determined.
The ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam is the Mobile Suit piloted by protagonist Kira Yamato in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny, equipped with the extremely high-output "Hyper Deuterion Engine." In addition to a large array of high-firepower beam weapons such as the High-Energy Beam Rifle, Xiphias 3 railguns, and Super Lacerta beam sabers, its most distinctive armament is the "Super DRAGOON" Mobile Weapon Wing. This wing features a propulsion system developed from the "Voiture Lumiere" and mounts 8 deployable "Beam Assault Cannons" for all-range attacks.
Although the "MS MECHANICAL BUST Strike Freedom Gundam" does not include its most iconic Super DRAGOON Mobile Weapon Wing, its sharply sculpted armor lines and high-density detailed sculpting still make it incredibly cool. The newly released painted prototype further showcases the product's rich gold plating, faithfully reproducing the Strike Freedom Gundam's characteristic golden frame. The twin-eye camera sections are also made with clear parts, allowing the eyes to light up when paired with the internal LED light unit.
