Japanese toy company Good Smile Company's best-selling "Nendoroid" (ねんどろいど) toy series will release a Nendoroid figure of the popular villain character "Akaza" from the hit series "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba"!
Created by Japanese manga artist Koyoharu Gotouge, the super popular manga series "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" (鬼滅の刃), which began serialization in 2016, continues to maintain its popularity despite concluding in 2020. The second season of the anime, "Entertainment District Arc," finished airing in February 2022, and the third season, "Swordsmith Village Arc," began airing on April 9, 2023, and has currently broadcast its third episode.
In the original work, Akaza is Upper Rank Three of the "Twelve Kizuki". He possesses extremely powerful regenerative abilities, capable of regenerating even after his head is severed, and specializes in martial arts-style attacks. His human name was "Hakuji", and he had a tragic past. He first battled Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku in the "Mugen Train Arc," severely wounding and killing the Flame Hashira. While escaping the sunlight, he was stabbed by Tanjiro's Nichirin Blade and subjected to angry taunts, which left him deeply resentful and determined to seek revenge.
He possesses high self-esteem and never shows weakness to those of higher status, such as Doma, Kokushibo, or even Muzan. This Nendoroid rendition of Akaza faithfully recreates his appearance from the original work, featuring pink hair, a bare torso with distinct markings, and eyes inscribed with "Upper Rank Three" to denote his position. Three interchangeable face plates are included: a smiling expression, an angry expression, and a serious expression. Effect parts include a "Compass Needle illustration plate" and "Consecutive Attack effects" for dynamic posing.
