To commemorate the 15th anniversary of the series' birth, TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors' toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., today announced the release of the robot-themed action figure series "ROBOT魂". A commemorative product from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED", the "Aile Strike Gundam ver. A.N.I.M.E. ~ROBOT魂 15th Anniversary Edition~" is scheduled for release in September 2023.
This product bundles some parts from the previously released "Strike Gundam ver. A.N.I.M.E." and "Aile Striker & Effect Parts Set ver. A.N.I.M.E.". While the contents are largely the same, it does not include 2 thruster effects for Strike Gundam, Vulcan cannon effects (left/right), a straight beam saber effect, an explosion effect, and other parts. The Strike Gundam main body combines designs from both the mechanical setting illustrations and its appearance in the show, featuring refined and cool armor lines, as well as a flexible articulation design. New joints in the chest and ankles allow for more dynamic poses.
By attaching the Aile Striker pack, the cool Aile Strike Gundam can be recreated. Attaching jet effect parts to the thrusters allows for the depiction of flight scenes. For weaponry, it includes a beam rifle, beam saber, Armor Schneider, shield, curved beam saber blade, and beam rifle firing effect, allowing for the recreation of intense battle scenes.
This commemorative edition further adds a "ROBOT魂 15th Anniversary Special Display Stand," a "Kira Yamato Cockpit Close-up Standee," and a standee printed with the famous sortie line "Kira Yamato! Gundam! Launch!" These can be displayed together with the Aile Strike Gundam main unit, significantly enhancing the world view of "Gundam SEED"!
