Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS collector's toy division, "TAMASHII NATIONS," is set to release the popular action figure series brand "S.H.Figuarts" rendition of the villain character "Metal Cooler" (メタルクウラ) from the Dragon Ball Z theatrical film "The Return of Cooler"! It is scheduled for release in December 2023.
Metal Cooler is a character who appeared in the Dragon Ball Z theatrical film "The Return of Cooler" (激突!!100億パワーの戦士たち). In the previous theatrical film, "Cooler's Revenge," Frieza's older brother, Cooler, was defeated by Goku and was thought to have been consumed by the sun and died. However, he narrowly escaped, and his surviving brain merged with the mechanical planet "Big Gete Star" (ビッグゲテスター), attempting to invade New Namek. Goku and his allies received a plea for help from Dende and arrived on New Namek, only to face a resurrected and metallic Cooler. His battle power was even greater than before, even defeating Super Saiyan Goku. Fortunately, Vegeta appeared at this time, and together they finally managed to destroy him. Just as their power was depleted, even more Metal Coolers appeared on the cliff...
This S.H.Figuarts Metal Cooler figure faithfully recreates his appearance from the original movie. Metal Cooler is depicted as Cooler before his final transformation, with an appearance slightly resembling Frieza's final form but with a slightly smaller physique. This figure stands approximately 14.5 cm tall. The overall design features a highly lustrous metallic silver finish, achieving an extremely high level of accuracy. It comes with four interchangeable facial expressions. Additionally, it includes parts to depict his hand regenerating after being damaged, as seen in the original work. The overall articulation utilizes the latest Dragon Ball series standards, and the foot parts also come in two types: normal and gripping.
