Hosted by the veteran Japanese model manufacturer Kaiyodo, the world's largest model festival, 'Wonder Festival 2023 [Summer]', which takes place twice a year, is set to grandly open on July 30, 2023! This summer edition will once again be held at Halls 1-8 of Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. Detailed exhibition information has been officially announced recently, and advance tickets and priority admission tickets are now available for pre-order.
Originating in 1984, 'WONDER FESTIVAL' attracts 40,000 to 50,000 model enthusiasts from both Japan and abroad each time. The corporate booths have seen dozens of renowned Japanese toy manufacturers participate in this grand event, including Bandai, Kotobukiya, TAKARA TOMY, GOODSMILE COMPANY, MAX FACTORY, and many more. This allows you to witness firsthand the prototypes and trial products of various unreleased items, and even enjoy venue-exclusive stage programs, giveaways, and limited-edition merchandise.

However, the focus of WONDER FESTIVAL is not solely on corporate booths. The core purpose and original intention of the event is to provide a stage for professional and amateur sculptors to showcase their passion and sculpting techniques, gaining more exposure. Each time, hundreds of "DEALER" booths, applied for by individuals or groups, participate. In addition to original works, they can also produce [[GK]] models from various franchises through the legal "One-Day Copyright" system, exhibiting or selling them on-site. Model details that are difficult for major manufacturers to reproduce, niche characters, or massive works that are challenging to commercialize, all have the chance to be seen firsthand and even purchased at the venue.
Furthermore, to promote the joy of model making, the organizers collaborate with numerous companies in the industry. The event will feature talks, work critiques, and sculpting workshops by many renowned figures in the model industry, such as Takayuki Takeya. There will also be hands-on experience zones where visitors can actually build and paint models. For COSPLAY enthusiasts, a dedicated display area is provided for photography, and in recent years, related stage events have been held, allowing COSPLAYERS from various regions to perform on stage. The rich array of exhibitions and activities ensures a fulfilling day of exploration!
