Japanese prize figure distributor Furyu's high-end figure brand F:NEX today unveiled the first painted prototype images of its latest product from "Yu-Gi-Oh!", the "Dark Paladin 1/7 Scale Figure". The full product details and pre-orders are expected to be revealed on June 23rd.
Super Magical Blazing Wave Slash
The Dark attribute Spellcaster-Type monster, Dark Paladin, is a monster card Fusion Summoned using Dark Magician and Buster Blader. It possesses abilities such as increasing its ATK by 500 for each Dragon-Type monster in both players' Graveyards, and while on the field, it can discard one card from your hand to negate the activation of an opponent's Spell Card and destroy it. In the anime, Yami Yugi also used this card, combined with the Spell Card "Diffusion Wave-Motion", to defeat Kaiba's three "Blue-Eyes White Dragons" in one go, turning the tide of the duel.
The "Dark Paladin 1/7 Scale Figure" recreates the illustration's design with an impressive height of approximately 355mm. Compared to the original artwork's greenish armor color, F:NEX has opted for a deeper, matte black finish, meticulously reproducing the ornate golden carvings across the entire body. The massive blade in its hand, used for slaying dragons, is sculpted with sharp edges and rendered with various metallic colors to convey a sense of substantial weight. The base design features the "Dark Magical Circle," a characteristic element of the Dark Magician series cards, complemented by wave-like magical effects that not only enhance the figure's presence but also serve to support the main body.
