Japan's Megahouse toy company, under its high-quality "G.E.M." series which brings anime and manga characters to life as figures, will release a "Ryo Saeba & Kaori Makimura" PVC painted finished product based on the theatrical anime "City Hunter the Movie: Angel Dust"! The suggested retail price is 28,600 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in December 2023.
Japanese manga artist Tsukasa Hojo's manga series "City Hunter" began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in 1985. The protagonist, Ryo Saeba, is a hitman based in Shinjuku, who is sometimes cool and sometimes lewd and comical. He partners with the neutral-looking Kaori Makimura, and their alias is "City Hunter." They occasionally work as bodyguards and private detectives; clients can commission them by writing the code "XYZ" on the message board at the east exit of Shinjuku Station (but only beautiful women clients are accepted). In 2023, a brand new animated film, "City Hunter the Movie: Angel Dust," was released in collaboration with Netflix, scheduled to premiere in autumn.
