Japanese figure manufacturer GOOD SMILE COMPANY's affordable pre-painted figure series 'POP UP PARADE' recently announced the latest product from the popular mobile game 'Fate/Grand Order', "Ruler/Jeanne d'Arc", scheduled for release in October 2023.
The Arbiter "Ruler", in the spin-off novel 'Fate/Apocrypha', was summoned by the Greater Grail with the mission to rectify the Holy Grail War. Without a Master, she had to possess a blonde girl named "Laeticia". Her personality is pure, calm, and composed, with only compassion in her heart and no hatred. She possesses exceptionally powerful special abilities, wielding the holy banner-type absolute defense Noble Phantasm "Luminosite Eternelle" and the anti-army Noble Phantasm "La Pucelle". Ruler's true identity is the Catholic saint and French national hero "Saint Jeanne d'Arc".
The "POP UP PARADE Ruler/Jeanne d'Arc" boasts a collector-friendly height of 17 cm. Its dynamic pose is achieved through her flowing ponytail and skirt. The overall costume design features rich detailing, especially in the full body armor and sword, which are intricately sculpted with precise engravings and finished with metallic paint. However, compared to the excellent head sculpt of Mordred released earlier this year, Jeanne d'Arc, also sculpted by Max Factory, seems to have an imbalanced proportion between her hair and face parts. Her hair appears too voluminous and her face too small, making her head look overly large from the front.
