Japanese toy brand GOOD SMILE COMPANY's affordable pre-painted PVC figure series "POP UP PARADE" is scheduled to release an L SIZE version figure of the heroine "Priestess" from the renowned anime and manga series "Goblin Slayer" in November 2023, priced at 8,800 JPY.
"Goblin Slayer" (ゴブリンスレイヤー) originally began as a light novel series created and published by author "Kumo Kagyu" in 2014. It received widespread acclaim upon its release, followed by a manga adaptation in 2016, an anime adaptation in 2018, and a movie adaptation in 2019. The second season of the anime is slated for release in 2023, and the series even has a related mobile game.
The story follows the Priestess, who, having just turned 15, heads to the Adventurers Guild with the desire to help adventurers. Her first mission is to subjugate goblins alongside three other novice adventurers of Porcelain rank. What they believed would be an easy task was instead met with a devastating goblin assault. In the critical situation where her teammates were sacrificed, captured, and severely wounded, the protagonist "Goblin Slayer" appeared to rescue them. After experiencing the harsh realities of adventuring, she deeply felt her own naivety and inadequacy, resolving to accompany Goblin Slayer on missions to hone her skills, thus beginning their journey.
