The Danish LEGO toy company's Technic series yesterday (10th) unveiled its latest product, the exciting "42159 Yamaha MT-10 SP", sure to thrill motorcycle enthusiasts! It is scheduled for release on August 1, 2023.
This model comprises a total of 1478 parts. Once assembled, it stands approximately 25 cm tall and measures 44 cm in length, making for a substantial presence. It meticulously recreates the body lines and chassis of the high-end MT-10 SP, the updated version of the Yamaha MT-10, including eye-catching blue wheels, golden upgraded suspension, rear shock absorber, gull-wing swingarm, and more. Yamaha's logo and the "MT-10 SP" lettering are also visible on the body. The overall mechanical aesthetic achieved by stacking Technic parts is, I personally believe, quite excellent! A slight drawback is that the dual "fisheye" headlights on the front of this model are closer to a circular shape, lacking the sharp, aggressive feel of the real vehicle.
This LEGO "Yamaha MT-10 SP" brick-built model features a four-cylinder engine, a three-speed gearbox, working suspension, a chain, and front-wheel-driven steering. The gearbox interior includes components such as a shift drum, shift forks, and ratchets. After assembling the body, a display stand can be used for enhanced presentation, offering an alternative to the kickstand. Furthermore, users can download the LEGO® AR app for a richer experience.
