Japanese model manufacturer MegaHouse's highly popular high-end collectible figure series "Portrait.Of.Pirates" from "ONE PIECE," has unveiled the color prototype for its latest product, "P.O.P. WA-MAXIMUM Monkey D. Luffy Gear 5." Pre-orders opened on August 4, 2023, with a reference price of 22,000 JPY, and an estimated release in May 2024.
Monkey D. Luffy's "Gear 5" form, awakened after consuming the Gum-Gum Fruit, also known as the "Human-Human Fruit, Mythical Zoan: Nika Form," not only significantly enhances his stretching abilities but also grants him immense freedom. He can easily stretch and twist his body in various ways, becoming the embodiment of freedom. Not only does he grow stronger the more he laughs in battle, but he also possesses unlimited stamina and the ability to turn imagination into power, making it the most absurd power in the world. Luffy himself calls it "My peak strength...!"
The "P.O.P. WA-MAXIMUM Monkey D. Luffy Gear 5" PVC figure, standing approximately 23 cm tall, dynamically sculpts Luffy's latest awakened Gear 5 form! It faithfully recreates his Nika-like appearance with white curly hair and swirly eyebrows. The cloud-like surrounding effects and the speed effect parts on the base are crafted from clear material and finished with a pearlescent coating! More detailed sales information will be announced later!
