Japanese model maker MEGAHOUSE's mid-to-low-priced "MONSTERS CHRONICLE" small-scale monster figure series has announced its popular third release from "Yu-Gi-Oh!", "Dark Paladin"! The suggested retail price is 6,380 JPY, with an estimated release in December 2023.
The monster card "Dark Paladin", Fusion Summoned using Dark Magician and Buster Blader, possesses abilities such as increasing its ATK by "the number of Dragon-Type monsters in both players' Graveyards X 500", and while on the field, it can discard one card from hand to negate and destroy an opponent's activated Spell Card. In the anime, Yami Yugi also used this card in conjunction with the Spell Card "Diffusion Wave-Motion" to defeat all three "Blue-Eyes White Dragons" on Kaiba's field in one go, turning the tide of the duel!
The "MONSTERS CHRONICLE Dark Paladin" stands approximately 14 cm tall. Based on a scene where Dark Paladin is poised to attack, wielding its massive dragon-slaying blade-staff, the figure faithfully recreates its sharp green-grey armor, distinctive pointed hat, and the ornate golden carvings across various parts of its armor. Its fierce gaze is fixed forward, and the ready-to-strike pose, combined with the surrounding effect parts on the base, enhances the sense of dynamism and presence!
