Japanese figure manufacturer GOOD SMILE COMPANY's affordably priced pre-painted figure series 'POP UP PARADE' has announced the latest product from the mobile game 'Fate/Grand Order', "Avenger/Jeanne d'Arc [Alter]", scheduled for release in January 2024.
After Jeanne d'Arc was deemed a witch by her own country and burned at the stake, the grief-stricken Gilles de Rais used the power of the Holy Grail to resurrect her, imbuing her with his own hatred for their homeland, giving birth to Jeanne d'Arc [Alter], a character with a cold, stern personality and a heart full of malice. Leading a horde of dragons and known as the "Dragon Witch," she instigated the Hundred Years' War of the Evil Dragons, vowing to unleash endless slaughter upon France....
The "POP UP PARADE Avenger/Jeanne d'Arc [Alter]" is sculpted at an impressive height of approximately 17 cm, capturing Black Jeanne's dynamic pose. The dark armor across her body is rendered with metallic paint to convey a sense of weighty texture, while the edges of her cape and skirt feature damaged details and a gradient red paint application, evoking her design of resurrection from the flames. The sculptor for this figure, as well as the previously released Jeanne d'Arc, is Nanako from Max Factory. However, both her wicked smile and overall head proportion are significantly improved compared to Jeanne d'Arc.
