Bandai Spirits today announced the latest product from the newest Super Sentai series, "Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger," the "DX Tarantula Abyss," scheduled for release in January 2024. This product will be sold exclusively on Bandai's official online store, PREMIUM BANDAI.
Appearing at the end of the first arc, Tarantula Abyss was originally a palm-sized Guardian God. Weak and vulnerable, he survived to this day under the protection of Desnarak VIII. In the cutthroat underworld, he was Desnarak VIII's only friend. His existence proves that even as Desnarak VIII brutally fought against humanity, he still possessed a kind heart willing to protect others. There is no difference between humans and Bugnarok; it is only the unwillingness to face the truth, coupled with hatred born from misunderstanding, that has prevented reconciliation for two millennia.
The "DX Tarantula Abyss" is essentially a recolored version of the previously released "DX Tarantula Knight." All parts are reused, with the color scheme changed to black and gold. Over ten areas, including the head, chest armor, and claws, are treated with electroplated gold. It features a mechanism to transform from Guardian God form to robot form. After transformation, it can equip the Cicada and Centipede Guardian Weapons on both hands, allowing for flexible posing with articulated joints. Furthermore, Tarantula Abyss can combine with the similarly colored "King-Ohger ZERO" to form a toy-original pose that did not appear in the show!
