The First Flying Silhouette Knight, 'MODEROID Knight's & Magic Toybox,' Makes Its Debut as a Plastic Model Kit!

Japan's MECHA SMILE brand today announced the latest product from its 'MODEROID' plastic model kit series, "Toybox," based on the novel "Knight's & Magic," scheduled for release in May 2024.

The Toybox is the Silhouette Knight used by the protagonist, Ernesti, before the completion of his dedicated machine, Ikaruga. This unit was modified from the Fremmevira Kingdom's highly versatile mass-produced unit, the Gordatoa. As a testbed for the new "Magic Jet Thruster" technology, the Toybox became the first Silhouette Knight to successfully fly in the sky. However, due to excessive magic consumption, even with two magic converters installed, it could only fly for a short period.

The "MODEROID Toybox" is based on the anime version's design. This approximately 14 cm tall plastic model kit utilizes multi-color molded parts and stickers, and once assembled, it largely reproduces the anime's azure body design and various markings. Each joint features flexible articulation, and the auxiliary arms mounted on the back can be optionally equipped or removed, allowing for various combat stances with weapons such as a sword and shield.
