Japanese toy figure manufacturer HAKOMUSU (Hakoirimusume) has announced its latest product, the "Sword Maiden" 1/6 scale figure, based on the popular anime "Goblin Slayer II". The suggested retail price is 26,400 JPY, with an estimated release in May 2024.
"Goblin Slayer" (ゴブリンスレイヤー) is a dark fantasy light novel series written by Kumo Kagyu and illustrated by Noboru Kannatuki. The story revolves around an adventurer who "only slays goblins." This man, known as "Goblin Slayer," has risen to Silver Rank (the third highest rank) solely by hunting goblins. He accepts any goblin-slaying quest, regardless of the reward, and relentlessly dedicates himself to eradicating goblins by any means necessary.
In the story, the High Priestess of the Supreme God, Sword Maiden (剣の乙女), was once captured and abused by goblins, losing her virginity. Besides the lingering after-effect of her eyes only being able to perceive outlines, her inner trauma also prevents her from fighting goblins again.
The Hakoirimusume "Sword Maiden" 1/6 scale figure stands approximately 18 cm tall. It vividly recreates the perilous scene of the Sword Maiden surrounded by goblins in their nest. Even with her eyes covered by a black blindfold, her expression conveys her desperate struggle against the goblins, pushed to the brink. Her crouching pose, with an outstretched hand to defend, reveals her fair thighs, and her battle-torn outfit at the chest hints at the soft texture beneath! Furthermore, parts of her attire, such as the headscarf and cape, are removable, allowing collectors to appreciate the thin fabric design that perfectly accentuates her beautiful curves.
The cave-interior themed base, approximately 25 cm wide and 19 cm high, not only adds significant presence to the overall display but also allows for joint display with the simultaneously revealed "Priestess"!
