Japanese toy figure manufacturer [[OBJ_6028]] (Hakoirimusume) has released its latest product, the "Priestess" 1/6 scale figure, based on the popular anime "Goblin Slayer II". The suggested retail price is 26,400 JPY, with an estimated release in April 2024.
"Goblin Slayer" (ゴブリンスレイヤー) is a dark fantasy light novel series written by Japanese web novelist Kumo Kagyu and illustrated by Noboru Kannatuki. The story revolves around an adventurer who "only slays goblins." Known as "Goblin Slayer," this man has risen to Silver Rank (the third highest tier) solely by hunting goblins. He accepts any goblin-slaying quest, regardless of the reward, using any means necessary, tirelessly dedicating himself to eradicating goblins.
The Priestess, who left the Earth Mother's temple at age 15 to become an adventurer, faced a brutal ambush during her first mission. Due to her inexperience with the goblins' viciousness and her pity for a young goblin, her party was attacked, and her comrades were severely wounded and sacrificed. After being rescued by Goblin Slayer, she experienced the cruelty of adventuring firsthand and resolved to follow him to hone her skills, using divine miracles to assist him in subsequent battles.
The Hakoirimusume "Priestess" 1/6 scale figure, with a character height of approximately 22 cm, brings to life the critical scene of her being surrounded by goblins in their nest! Her defensive crouch and hands tightly gripping her staff convey the desperation of being cornered. Her white and blue robe and pristine high boots are damaged from battle, revealing soft skin through the tears, creating a stark contrast with the overall atmosphere. Her hat is removable, allowing for a flowing golden hair style!
The cave interior-themed base, approximately 25 cm wide and 19 cm high, not only adds significant presence to the overall display but can also be displayed alongside the simultaneously revealed "Sword Maiden"!
