Bandai Namco Toys & Hobby has announced the latest DX toy product, "DX King-Ohger (King-Class Heavy Repaint Plated Ver.)," from the newest Super Sentai series, 《Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger》, scheduled for release in March 2024.
《Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger》 is set in a completely fictional fantasy world. A thousand years ago, six heroes fought alongside insectoid mechanical guardian deities, defeating the evil empire "Bagnarak" and protecting humanity. They each established five distinct nations across the continent, enjoying a long period of peace. However, 2000 years later, the nations once again face crisis. The current kings of each nation once again join forces with their guardian deities to protect their people, with ten guardian deities combining to form the giant robot "King-Ohger" to confront the massive threat.
"DX King-Ohger (King-Class Heavy Repaint Plated Ver.)" is a repaint based on the previously released standard version. All ten guardian deities, led by God Kuwagata, are extensively coated with colorful plating, and additional panel lining-style paintwork is applied to highlight intricate details, creating an incredibly powerful and shining appearance. Furthermore, the "Guardian Sword," formed by the combination of God Tombo and God Papillon, includes a special move version part that increases its length by 140%. This, combined with the gleaming main body, recreates the scene from episode 5 where the five heroes first gather to unleash their special move.
Additionally, the product also includes two Guardian Weapons, "God Snail" and "God Rolling," which were sold separately at the time. Both machines are also electroplated, showcasing a magnificent golden luster, allowing the King-Ohger main body to be equipped with two types of armaments: a Gatling gun and a flail.
