Beloved and collected by many Saint Seiya fans and collectors, the "Saint Cloth Myth EX" series from BANDAI SPIRITS' Collectors Division is set to release the 20th Anniversary REVIVAL Ver. of the Gold Saint Virgo "Shaka" (シャカ). It is scheduled for release in June 2024, priced at 17,600 JPY.
Virgo Gold Saint Shaka, revered as "the man closest to God," often trains and enhances his Cosmo by keeping his eyes closed. When Seiya and the others first confronted Shaka during the Battle of the Twelve Houses, they were almost completely overwhelmed by his terrifying power. In a critical moment, Ikki appeared, and after having all his senses taken by Shaka, he awakened the Seventh Sense and intended to ascend to heaven with Shaka by sacrificing himself. He later returned before the final battle with the Pope. From then on, Shaka began to feel doubt and wanted to witness the potential of Seiya and his companions, turning to help them. In the Hades Chapter, he was the first to awaken the Eighth Sense, "Arayashiki," feigning defeat and death at the hands of Saga and others, but in reality, he had already transmitted a message to Athena and proceeded to fight in the Underworld.
This special 20th Anniversary REVIVAL Ver. of the Virgo Saint Cloth Myth EX, like other updated versions, improves upon the articulation of previous iterations and comes with a rich variety of accessories. It includes four interchangeable facial expression parts. For accessories, it features a pedestal for Shaka's meditation pose, prayer beads representing the 108 Specters that have already shown some discoloration, and more, allowing for the recreation of numerous poses from the original work, making it quite comprehensive.
