The highly popular Japanese manga "Dungeon Meshi" is about to release its final volume, and the anime adaptation produced by TRIGGER is set to premiere. At this opportune moment, Japanese figure manufacturer Good Smile Company has also announced a new scale figure product, "Marcille Donato ~ Adorning the Dungeon with Color 1/7 Scale Figure," slated for release in December 2024.
The story of "Dungeon Meshi" is set in a classic fantasy RPG-style world of swords and magic, where adventurers flock to challenge the dangerous Golden Kingdom Dungeon in pursuit of treasure. The protagonist, Laios, forms a party with Marcille, Chilchuck, Senshi, and others to rescue his sister Farlyn, who was devoured by a red dragon. Lacking supplies, they must "live off the land" while adventuring, using ingredients from various fantasy creatures such as slimes, man-eating plants, cockatrices, and dragons... to prepare delicious dishes with modern cooking techniques.
The "Marcille Donato ~ Adorning the Dungeon with Color 1/7 Scale Figure" brings this half-elf mage, who constantly retorts to her teammates, to life with a rare display of her beautiful countenance. At an impressive height of approximately 26 cm, the figure not only sculpts Marcille's delicate hair flow, the intricate patterns on her staff, and the complex wrinkles and seams of her attire, but also uses transfer printing to reproduce the text within her spellbook.
Furthermore, the entire diorama base meticulously recreates a corner of the vibrant dungeon ecosystem. Through realistic sculpting and painting techniques, dungeon creatures such as Walking Mushrooms, Golems, Treant Fruit, and Horned Rabbits, as well as Marcille's fairy familiar, are brought to life. At the same time, vibrant colors are used to depict the moss, flora, and trees within the dungeon, exuding the captivating charm of the dungeon's ecosystem.
