Bandai Co., Ltd. announced today the latest product from the 2023 "Super Sentai" series tokusatsu drama, "Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger": the "Ohja Calibur MEMORIAL EDITION," scheduled for release in November 2024.
The Ohja Calibur is the transformation device and weapon used by the kings of the five nations in the series. Crafted using the latest technology from the technological kingdom of "N'Kosopa," the sword is equipped with switches corresponding to the guardian deities of the five nations, allowing the kings to perform "Ohger Armor" (王鎧武裝) and transform into their battle forms. Not only can they unleash special moves, but they can also summon guardian deities and combine them into King-Ohger. Furthermore, the sword also possesses a function to remove limitations, enabling the five kings to transform into the enhanced form "Ohger Armor: Raging Flash" (王鎧武裝・凌牙一閃), unleashing even more powerful techniques than usual, though this simultaneously places an extreme burden on their bodies.
The "Ohja Calibur MEMORIAL EDITION," produced with a completely new sculpt, boasts an impressive size 1.5 times larger than the previously released DX version, measuring approximately 83 cm in total length. This brings it closer to the realistic appearance seen in the series, meticulously reproducing the wooden texture of the hilt, the metallic color of the blade, and the switches shaped like the various guardian deities. It also incorporates a total of ten sets of LED lights.
By operating the guardian deity switches, you can recreate the transformation sounds and magnificent light-up effects of the armored kings from the series. Furthermore, the hilt features newly created dialogue buttons and BGM buttons, containing a richer array of sounds than the DX version. This includes newly recorded lines from the actors portraying the six kings: Taisei Sakai, Aito Watanabe, Erika Murakami, Yuzuki Hirakawa, Sou Kakyu, and Masashi Ikeda, as well as five in-series songs such as "Zenryoku King-Ohger (TV Ver.)" (全力王者), "I Will Rule This World!" (我要支配這個世界！), and "Descend! King-Ohger!!" (降臨吧！君王者！！). This allows you to immerse yourself in the world of transforming into a king!
