The popular die-cast action figure series 'RIOBOT', produced by Japanese model manufacturer Sentinel, today announced that full product details and pre-orders for its latest release from "Super Robot Wars OG", "Dygenguar", will be revealed on January 15, 2024.
Dygenguar is Unit 1 of the Super Powered General Guardian, piloted by Sanger Zonvolt. It utilizes the DIRECT MOTION LINK control system and an artificial muscle power transmission system, allowing for agile movements unimaginable for its massive size and weight, achieving a "man-machine unity" combat style. It excels in close-quarters combat and sword fighting, able to wield the Sanshiki Zankantou and Guardian Sword to perform various impressive sword techniques, cutting enemies in two. When fighting alongside Unit 2, Aussenseiter, it can ride Aussenseiter, which transforms into a warhorse. In this powerful "blade-and-horse unity" form, it can unleash the combined ultimate attack, "Tornado Zankantou".
"RIOBOT Dygenguar" has now revealed its painted prototype. It also hinted at bonus parts for the Sentinel official store exclusive version. The main body is consistent with the previously revealed prototype, with its design adopting the original game's settings. It boasts a larger size compared to other RIOBOT "Super Robot Wars OG" units, with its powerful physique conveyed through its robust limb proportions. In addition to the Guardian Sword, its signature weapon, the "Sanshiki Zankantou," which is longer than the main body, will also be included. The entire figure will feature a wide range of articulation, more robust ratchet joint designs, and even an LED light-up mechanism. The bonus parts hinted at in the background include a powerful "shouting face" and a "Daisarin (Great Wheel) form Zankantou".
