Released by Japan's CAPCOM Co., Ltd., the popular video game "Monster Hunter" themed figure series "CAPCOM FIGURE BUILDER CUBE" recently announced its latest product, "Gore Magala," slated for release on June 13, 2024.
The "Gore Magala," the first creature of unknown origin in the history of the "Monster Hunter" series, possesses a physique akin to an Elder Dragon but is not immune to the effects of traps. Its massive "wingarms," adorned with night-like membranes, not only grant it exceptional flight capabilities but also transform into an alien-like "six-legged walk" when it enters its Frenzied state. Although its head lacks eyes, it compensates for sensory perception by continuously scattering scales from its wings. Should other creatures inhale these scales, they too will fall into the abnormally violent "Frenzy Virus" state. It was later confirmed that the Gore Magala is, in fact, the immature form of the Elder Dragon Shagaru Magala.
The brand-new product, "CAPCOM FIGURE BUILDER CUBE MONSTER HUNTER," can be considered an advanced version of Capcom's CFB blind box series "Monster Hunter Standard Model Plus." It boasts a more substantial average size, and 3D digital sculptor Keita Okada has been enlisted to sculpt various popular monsters from "Monster Hunter," allowing for highly organic and lifelike forms within a size of approximately 10 cm in height and width. Currently, each product is uniformly priced at 2,970 JPY (tax included), making it quite affordable.
The "CFB CUBE Gore Magala" is sculpted by prototype artist Keita Okada, capturing its Frenzied form as it attacks in a "six-legged crawling" stance, with its wing membranes billowing like a black cloak. The sculpture meticulously details the head with its unfurled purple feelers, the robust wingarms used for crawling, and the intricate textures on its jet-black wing membranes. Furthermore, the entire body is adorned with delicate color applications, utilizing multiple layers of black mixed with purple to express the distinct textures of its skin, wing membranes, and keratinous plates.
