Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya has announced that the latest product in their popular mecha girl plastic model kit series, 《Frame Arms Girl》, "Durga I Save the Queen Ver.", is scheduled for release in June 2024.
The prototype for the Frame Arms Girl "Durga" series is derived from the eponymous base defense unit belonging to the lunar base faction in Kotobukiya's Frame Arms plastic model kit series. After being bishoujo-fied by illustrator Eiji Komatsu, she inherits the heavy armor characteristics of an "armored knight" and continues the voluptuous girl body style seen in Frame Arms Girl "Magatsuki," also designed by Eiji Komatsu. This new Save the Queen Ver., in contrast to the previously Amazon-exclusive Dark Queen Ver., further combines limited parts, new facial expressions, special colored M.S.G "EX Armor C Type," "EX Armor E Type (Dress Ver.)," and "Tsuruichi Scepter" to form the appearance of the Queen of Light.
The "Durga I Save the Queen Ver." is a modification of the previously released standard version, "Durga I". It features limited crown parts, blue and white armor, and special colored M.S.G weapons to create the divine appearance of the Queen of Light. It includes dedicated water-slide decals to reproduce the unique golden patterns on the armor, and three new interchangeable facial expressions: "normal face," "proud smile," and "disgusted face." Additionally, the original "Durga I" exclusive weapons and armor parts are included for interchangeability.
The body features pull-out chest and shoulder joints, articulated hip joints, and pull-out thigh joints that work in conjunction to provide a wide range of articulation. With three special colored M.S.G weapons, she can display a battle pose wielding a giant scepter and shield, adorned with a magnificent skirt armor. Magic circle effect parts can reproduce the shield's deployment and the scepter's magic firing state. Mixing and matching with the original "Durga I"'s spear, armor, and other knight equipment allows for even richer variations in styling!
