Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company HOBBY Division announced the commercialization of a new plastic model kit, "Ryujinmaru," from the new anime series "Mashin Souseiden Wataru." Release date is yet to be determined.

"Mashin Souseiden Wataru" (魔神創造伝ワタル) is a new TV anime series produced as a successor to the savior legend of the 1988 anime "Mashin Hero Wataru" series. The spirit of the previous protagonist, Wataru Ikusabe, will be passed on to a new generation protagonist, who will pilot the new generation Mashin, Ryujinmaru, to forge a brand new chapter. While this new Ryujinmaru inherits the low-proportioned silhouette and color scheme of its predecessor, its detailed design has undergone significant changes.

Based on the overall detailed design and articulation structure revealed so far, Bandai's "Mashin Souseiden Wataru Ryujinmaru Plastic Model Kit" is likely to be released under the HG (High Grade) series. This version features more flexible joint designs for the neck, limbs, and waist. Its right shoulder boasts an asymmetrical golden dragon head, and its feet adopt a golden dragon claw design different from its predecessor. Although the familiar "Toryuken" (Dragon Ascent Sword) is still present, the distinctive magatama on its chest has not been carried over.
