Sentinel International Co., Ltd.'s popular die-cast articulated series 'RIOBOT' has announced its latest product from "Super Robot Wars OG": the "Dygenguar" articulated robot! The suggested retail price is 46,200 JPY, with an anticipated release in September 2024.
The "Dygenguar," a highly popular unit from the "Super Robot Wars OG" series, is the Super Powered General Guardian Unit 1 piloted by Sanger Zonvolt. It utilizes a DML (DIRECT MOTION LINK) control system and an artificial muscle power transmission system, allowing for agile movements unimaginable for its massive size and weight, achieving a "man-machine integration" combat style. It excels in close-quarters combat and sword fighting, capable of unleashing various impressive sword techniques with the Sanshiki Zankantou and Guardian Sword, cleaving enemies in two.
The "RIOBOT Dygenguar" was prototyped by Takao Kinoshita, the sculptor who also worked on the "RIOBOT Compatible Kaiser," under the thorough supervision of game producer Takanobu Terada. Based on the original game settings, it faithfully recreates the unique appearance reminiscent of an armored samurai and its highly detailed mechanical design, exuding both the sharpness of a mecha and a sense of heavy stability. Standing approximately 33 cm tall, its impressive size reaches 46 cm when equipped with its signature weapon, the Sanshiki Zankantou, which is longer than the main body itself! The entire figure features a more robust ratchet joint design, allowing for a wide range of articulation and excellent grip strength, capable of securely holding even larger weapons!
The special move "Dynamic Knuckle" can also be recreated! The forearms are equipped with a special locking mechanism that can withstand the weight of the Sanshiki Zankantou, and a special accessory is included to display the arm separately. The head and both shoulders are equipped with LED light-up mechanisms, and by changing face parts, the General Flame can be reproduced. By using magnetically controlled LEDs, the space required for installing the base is minimized; and a grip-type controller called "Sword Soul" is used to turn the LED light effects on and off. Three interchangeable expression parts are included: a normal face, a gritting teeth face, and a shouting face, along with eye parts featuring an LED light-up mechanism, allowing you to experience the ultimate Bushin Soukou that perfectly reproduces Dygenguar's charm!
Purchases made at the Sentinel official store will include the "Sanshiki Zankantou (Daisarin)" and a roaring face replacement part, allowing you to enjoy the imposing stance of throwing the "Zankantou Daisarin."
