From Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company's collector's toy division TAMASHII NATIONS, the robot-themed articulated finished product "ROBOT SPIRITS ver. A.N.I.M.E." series today announced the commercialization of the "Dilanza (Guel's Custom)" from "Mobile Suit Gundam The Witch from Mercury", with pre-orders scheduled to open on February 1, 2024.
The MD-0031 Dilanza is a general-purpose mass-produced mobile suit developed by Jeturk Heavy Machinery. It was designed with powerful engine output and robust heavy armor as its premise, integrating various elements. To compensate for its lack of mobility, it features large-capacity thrusters and leg-mounted hover units for high-speed ground gliding. As the company's flagship machine, a unit was given to the eldest son, Guel Jeturk, for him to customize as a dueling machine. In addition to adjustments and performance enhancements tailored to Guel's close-quarters combat style, the entire machine was given an eye-catching magenta paint job, and a flamboyant feather ornament was added to its head antenna.
The "ROBOT SPIRITS Dilanza (Guel's Custom) ver. A.N.I.M.E." is produced based on the anime's design drafts, faithfully recreating the sophisticated form of its magenta heavy armor and the flexible articulation of its various joints. Based on currently released information, this unit can not only recreate its early-stage appearance with the head ornament and lower-power green beam, but also switch parts to reproduce its late-stage state without the ornament and with a red beam.
