Danish toy company LEGO has recently been unveiling its product lineup scheduled for release starting March 1, 2024. This article will introduce the Speed Champions series, set number 76919, the "2023 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car"! The suggested retail price is US$26.99.
Upon seeing this car, we wonder if fellow toy enthusiasts feel a sense of familiarity, just like us? That's certainly because you still remember the Technic series set number 42141, the "McLaren Formula 1 Race Car"! This Speed Champions rendition, built with 245 LEGO pieces based on the 2023 McLaren F1 car, measures approximately 19 cm in length and about 4 cm in height once assembled. In addition to faithfully recreating the vibrant black and papaya-colored livery, it also features numerous stickers to reproduce the extensive sponsor logos. However, what we personally find most impressive are the printed wheel covers and specialized tires, coupled with the clever use of various curved elements, which allow the overall model to achieve beautiful lines closely resembling the actual car. It truly lives up to its status as a product commemorating McLaren Racing's 60th anniversary.
▼ In addition to the stunning F1 race car, this set also includes a customary racing driver minifigure, whose top features the McLaren team logo.
