Japanese renowned prototype manufacturer "M.I.C. (MIC Co., Ltd.)"'s newly established original toy brand "DIG" (ディーアイジー), will release in August 2024, a PVC figure of the protagonist "Ichiban Kasuga" from SEGA's popular game Like a Dragon 7, in his shirtless "Fierce Battle" version, priced at 9,460 JPY.
The Like a Dragon (龍が如く) series has been one of SEGA's signature game franchises for many years. The series of stories centered around protagonist Kazuma Kiryu are already well-known and beloved topics among many players. In addition to enjoying the storyline, the games also feature a variety of fun and rich mini-games, which is another characteristic of the series. Starting with Like a Dragon 7, the protagonist shifted to Ichiban Kasuga, and the gameplay adopted RPG combat. The latest installment, Like a Dragon 8, was just released, where players control Ichiban Kasuga, along with the series' long-standing protagonist Kazuma Kiryu, and new companions Chitose Fujinomiya and Eric Tomizawa, to embark on a new battle in Hawaii.
This Ichiban Kasuga figure released by DIGSTA stands approximately 17.5 cm tall. Compared to the previous standard version, this "Fierce Battle" rendition recreates Kasuga's shirtless state after taking off his top. In this form, not only does he reveal his well-built, muscular physique, but his back also showcases the incredibly dazzling "Dragonfish" tattoo. With Kasuga stretching his arms and flexing his muscles, sporting a serious, ready-to-fight expression, his opponents are surely in for a tough time! Displayed with its dedicated base, the figure exudes a realistic and powerful presence.
