GASHAPON "Ryukakusan Miniature Collection" Gashapon: Popular Throat Candies and Direct Stick Granules Exquisitely Miniaturized!

Japan's Bandai Toy Company's GASHAPON division will release a miniature collection of classic household medicine, the "Ryukakusan Miniature Collection" gashapon. There will be 6 types, with a reference price of 300 JPY per capsule, scheduled to debut in February 2024!

The well-known cough and phlegm medicine, Ryukakusan, was formulated by Gen'en Fujii, a physician for the Satake clan, a samurai family in Tohoku, Japan. Its ingredients include dragon bone, deer antler velvet, and borneol, hence the name Ryukakusan. It later became a secret family recipe passed down through generations of the Fujii family. In Meiji 27 (1894), Tokusaburo, a descendant of the Fujii family, improved Ryukakusan and established Ryukakusan Co., Ltd. to sell it as a family business.

The GASHAPON "Ryukakusan Miniature Collection" gashapon miniaturizes popular products from the Ryukakusan series into approximately 5 cm capsule toys! The collection includes Ryukakusan powder, Ryukakusan Throat Candy, Ryukakusan Lozenge (pouch type), and Ryukakusan Direct Stick Granules in Mint, Peach, and Herbal Lemon flavors! In addition to the distinctive packaging, the contents are also faithfully reproduced in miniature—just hanging them up makes it feel like you can smell them!
