SQUARE ENIX, a Japanese company, recently announced that the latest product from its "BRING ARTS" 6-inch action figure series, "Cait Sith & Fat Moogle" from "FINAL FANTASY VII", is scheduled for release on February 22, 2025.
The black cat robot Cait Sith in the game is one of the player-controllable characters. When he first met Cloud and his companions, he claimed to be a fortune-telling machine, always riding on a giant Fat Moogle plushie and using a megaphone to issue commands for battle. With a mysterious background, he is actually a robot controlled by Reeve Tuesti, the head of Shinra Company's Urban Development Department. Initially, he acted as a spy to monitor Cloud and his group's movements, but after Reeve realized that Cloud and his companions shared his ideals, he became a counter-spy infiltrating Shinra.
The "BRING ARTS Cait Sith & Fat Moogle" is based on the design drawn by Tetsuya Nomura at the time of the 1997 PlayStation release, faithfully recreating its cute, cartoon-style appearance. Although Cait Sith's main body is only about 8 cm tall, it features as many as 15 points of articulation. It also comes with three pairs of arms, three pairs of interchangeable hands, and a hand holding a megaphone for various poses. The Fat Moogle stands at 15 cm tall, with some parts made of soft vinyl, meticulously reproducing details such as its exposed fangs, small wings, and back zipper. Its arms can rotate up and down, and with the included transparent stand, Cait Sith's riding pose can be recreated.
