SQUARE ENIX's "BRING ARTS" 6-inch action figure series recently announced the release of its latest product from "FINAL FANTASY VII", "Cid Highwind", scheduled for January 25, 2025.

The character "Cid" who appears throughout the "FINAL FANTASY" series is typically associated with airships and possesses relevant technical skills. Cid Highwind, who appears in "FF7", is no exception. Living in Rocket Town, he appears to be a jaded, stubborn old man, but he was actually a Shinra airship pilot and even participated in the Shinra Space Program as an astronaut. Even after Shinra halted the program following a failed rocket launch, Cid never gave up on his dream of going to space, continuing to repair the rocket in the village.

The "BRING ARTS Cid Highwind" figure is based on the design drawn by Tetsuya Nomura at the time of the 1997 PS version's release. With a highly articulated specification of approximately 15 cm in height, it thoroughly recreates the character's original design, featuring his cool full outfit including goggles, flight jacket, and work pants, as well as the spear he uses in combat. The entire body boasts 25 points of articulation and comes with two interchangeable face parts and seven different hand parts, allowing collectors to recreate various classic poses from the game.
