Sentinel Co., Ltd. Japan, under its "Fighting Armor (ファイティングアーマー)" action figure series, which reinterprets MARVEL superheroes with a unique style, has announced its latest product—the first leader of the X-Men, "Fighting Armor Cyclops"! The suggested retail price is 14,850 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in June 2024!
The Fighting Armor series, based on the original concept of "What if Tony Stark designed armor for the Avengers?", takes the comic book designs as its foundation and reinterprets Marvel's superheroes with a "Sentinel-ized" Japanese refined style, creating powerful armor that perfectly matches each character's image! The entire series is designed by mechanical designer Mitsunari Oten, with Hiroyuki Komatsubara (studioRECKLESS) handling prototype production and supervision, resulting in exquisite and sophisticated battle armor designs.
The Sentinel "Fighting Armor Cyclops" action figure stands approximately 165 mm tall. It infuses Cyclops's classic yellow and blue comic book suit with abundant metallic and mechanical elements, presenting a refined and imposing iron-style aesthetic. The battle armor's appearance inherits Sentinel's consistent intricate sculpting and multi-layered paintwork, while the use of die-cast material further enhances the overall solid and weighty texture! It features a brand-new articulation design, aiming for human-like joint positions to naturally achieve poses that closely resemble real human movements. The head's visor uses clear parts, and it comes with two laser beam effect parts, as well as a display stand for aerial action scenes.
