Chinese toy brand HIYA Toys, renowned for producing high-quality collectibles from Legendary Pictures' Godzilla under its EXQUISITE BASIC series, has announced the release of a new product based on the latest film, "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire"—the "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire Godzilla Re-evolved Version" action figure, slated for release in March 2024!
"Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire" is directed by Adam Wingard, who also helmed 2021's "Godzilla vs. Kong," and marks the fifth installment in Legendary Pictures' MonsterVerse. The story continues from the previous film, "Godzilla vs. Kong," detailing humanity's new understanding of the world after realizing that life exists not only on the surface but also in the Hollow Earth. As powerful forces lurking in the Hollow Earth draw closer, Kong will team up with his former rival, Godzilla, to confront the encroaching mysterious threat!
This "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire Godzilla Re-evolved Version" stands 18 cm tall, meticulously sculpted to recreate Godzilla's thick, armor-like skin. While it doesn't feature the pink dorsal fins seen in the trailer, this design is still incredibly captivating! The color is slightly lighter compared to HIYA Toys' previous 2014 and 2019 versions, with detailed paintwork showcasing Godzilla's yellowish teeth and the mottled texture of his skin. The hands, feet, and tail feature multiple points of articulation, allowing collectors to easily pose him in dynamic stances. The official photos, depicting him looking up, surveying all with an air of dominance, are absolutely stunning!
