Japanese brand GOOD SMILE COMPANY's popular "Nendoroid" series has announced a new product based on the super popular music game "Taiko no Tatsujin" series—"Taiko no Tatsujin Wada-Don," with a suggested retail price of 5,500 JPY, scheduled for release in October 2024!
"Wada-Don" is the protagonist of the "Taiko no Tatsujin" series, primarily controlled by Player 1 (1P) in the game. Wada-Don is set as a red taiko drum possessed by a spirit in a certain taiko workshop. To promote taiko culture, Wada-Don traveled to the capital with "Wada-Katsu," resided with the Wada family, and became the most popular taiko drum!
This "Taiko no Tatsujin Wada-Don" stands approximately 8 cm tall and recreates Wada-Don's in-game appearance with various sculpted parts. These include his usual smiling face, an ecstatic expression for when he's really getting into the rhythm, a disappointed expression for poor performance, and a sigh of lament. Other accessories include Wada-Don's drumstick-holding hands and a taiko stand. This release also includes interchangeable drumstick-holding hand parts that are compatible with other Nendoroid series figures, allowing everyone to enjoy the fun of playing the taiko drum!
Pre-ordering from the GOODSMILE ONLINE SHOP will also include a "Let's Play Again, Don!" speech bubble part!
