Released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., the "S.H.MonsterArts" series, which combines exquisite monster sculpting with excellent articulation technology, will once again release a themed product to celebrate the upcoming 30th anniversary of "Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla" at the end of the year—the "M.O.G.E.R.A. G-Force Hangar Launch Ver.". The suggested retail price is 17,600 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in August 2024!
M.O.G.E.R.A. appeared in 1994's "Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla", while its predecessor, Moguera, first appeared much earlier in the Showa era film "The Mysterians" in 1957. M.O.G.E.R.A. was initially designed as a weapon to counter Godzilla, but due to the sudden appearance of SpaceGodzilla, it engaged in fierce combat with it. Ultimately, it even teamed up with Godzilla to fight SpaceGodzilla.
M.O.G.E.R.A. is formed by combining the lower body's Land Moguera and the upper body's Star Falcon. Once combined, it can utilize Star Falcon's flight capabilities or use Land Moguera's treads for high-speed ground movement. As a weapon capable of contending with Godzilla, M.O.G.E.R.A. is equipped with powerful armaments such as eye beams, arm tracking beams, a chest beam cannon, drill missiles in its hands, and a mouth drill.
This "M.O.G.E.R.A. G-Force Hangar Launch Ver." recreates its movie appearance, and compared to the version from 12 years ago, the paint color is deeper, and the metallic paint application has a more premium feel than before. The articulation allows the head to be fully raised, recreating M.O.G.E.R.A.'s flying pose.
For accessories, the drill missile launch effect parts are retained. The city diorama and chest beam cannon effect from the previous version have now been replaced by a deployable hangar with stairs. Displaying M.O.G.E.R.A. in the hangar, ready for launch, truly looks incredibly powerful!
