Issued by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, the 『METAL ROBOT魂』 series, which combines metallic texture painting and an alloy frame, today officially announced the latest work supervised by popular mechanical designer Katoki Hajime, 「(Ka signature) Full Armor Hyaku-Shiki Kai & Hyaku-Shiki Kai」, scheduled for release in August 2024.
The MSN-00100 Hyaku-Shiki and MSR-00100S Hyaku-Shiki Kai were originally mobile suits redesigned by Kazumi Fujita based on the Z Gundam drafts drawn by Mamoru Nagano. Later, in the magazine project 『M-MSV』, Kunio Okawara designed the enhanced specification FA-100S Full Armor Hyaku-Shiki Kai. The Full Armor Hyaku-Shiki Kai added heavy armor to the entire Hyaku-Shiki Kai for ballistic defense, and reflective panels to generate I-fields to resist beam attacks. Its armament included beam-type weapons such as beam rifles, beam cannons, MEGA particle cannons, and long-range MEGA destroyers, as well as projectile-type weapons like missile pods and explosive bolts. Although its mobility was reduced, its firepower and defense were significantly enhanced. However, during its development, the Universal Century had entered the heyday of large transformable MS, and no mass production plan was subsequently initiated.

This dream mobile suit, handled by three designers, is once again reinterpreted and supervised by Katoki Hajime to release the finished model 「METAL ROBOT魂 (Ka signature) Full Armor Hyaku-Shiki Kai & Hyaku-Shiki Kai」. It retains the unique styling of the original design along with its collectible value and playability as a toy. The entire model utilizes rich gold, matte black, and body marking prints to express its characteristic golden armor. The arms and lower body are made with alloy parts for the movable frame, providing not only a sense of weight during play but also the ability to recreate cool combat poses.
The product includes the Hyaku-Shiki Kai main body and substantial armament accessories. Through a transformation mechanism, various armor parts can be attached to recreate the enhanced form, 「Full Armor Hyaku-Shiki Kai」. After transformation, it's not just a change in the appearance of the chest MEGA particle cannon, missile pods, etc.; each added part also features multiple movable weapon mechanisms. For example, the explosive bolts on both arms can be pulled to cover the fists, and the chest reflective panels and back beam cannons can rotate up and down. The long-range MEGA destroyer, which is more detailed than the original, features new retractable barrel and stock mechanisms, as well as a movable trigger guard. Additionally, the product includes two types of head parts, with and without twin-eye cameras, to reproduce the differences in the design sketches.
