S.H.Figuarts, the action figure brand released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, will launch a product based on the animated film "ULTRAMAN: Rising," set to be released this year—"ULTRAMAN: Rising Ultraman & Emi," with a suggested retail price of 7,700 JPY, scheduled for release in July 2024!
"ULTRAMAN: Rising" is a computer-animated film released by Netflix, co-produced by Industrial Light & Magic, founded by Star Wars director George Lucas, and Tsuburaya Productions, the creators of Ultraman. The story follows protagonist Ken Sato, who, behind his identity as a baseball star, is also the superhero Ultraman, protector of the world. While returning home for a mission, he suddenly faces the daunting task of raising the child left behind by his archenemy, forcing him to balance his heroic duties with contemplating the true meaning of being Ultraman as he raises the monster.
This "ULTRAMAN: Rising Ultraman & Emi" figure stands approximately 16 cm tall, faithfully recreating Ultraman's strong animated art style from the film. Its broad shoulders contrast sharply with its long neck and slender limbs, while the prominent six-pack abs showcase Ultraman's lean physique, presenting an Ultraman image never before seen in previous tokusatsu designs. The red paint application is more vibrant compared to previous S.H.Figuarts Ultraman figures, and the combination with classic silver and the brand-new sculpt creates a striking impression!
