S.H.Figuarts, released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., will launch a new product, "Kamen Rider KABUTO Rider Form 10th Anniversary Ver.", a revamped version of the series' first release, to commemorate the upcoming 10th anniversary of the "Shinkocchou Seihou" series. It will be sold as a special item for Tamashii Web Shop events, with a suggested retail price of 9,900 JPY, and is expected to be released in April 2024!
The "Shinkocchou Seihou" series emphasizes sculpting from the skeletal structure, gradually building outwards from muscles to clothing, pursuing the presence of Tokusatsu heroes and the natural articulation of model toys, making the overall appearance more closely align with the Tokusatsu hero images fans see on screen. Since its release in 2014, nearly a hundred Kamen Rider and Ultraman products have been launched, gaining widespread popularity among Tokusatsu toy fans.
"S.H.Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider KABUTO" was released in 2014, marking the first product in the Shinkocchou Seihou series. As a pioneer of Shinkocchou Seihou and one of the most popular Kamen Riders of the Heisei era, KABUTO makes a powerful return with a new paint application to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Shinkocchou Seihou.
This "Kamen Rider KABUTO Rider Form 10th Anniversary Ver." retains the beloved intricate sculpting of the version released 10 years ago, while striving to more accurately reproduce KABUTO's colors from the show. The chest armor and helmet parts utilize a more subdued red metallic paint to reduce reflectivity, and the black plastic parts on the limbs also appear significantly less reflective in the official images, bringing them closer to the texture of the suit in the series. The base for this release also features the Shinkocchou Seihou 10th Anniversary logo and text, inviting all toy enthusiasts to celebrate this high-quality toy series that has been with us for 10 years!
