To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the "Shinkocchou Seihou" series, S.H.Figuarts, released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., will not only release the "Kamen Rider KABUTO Rider Form 10th Anniversary Ver." but also a new product based on the series' second release – the "Kamen Rider Hibiki 10th Anniversary Ver.". This item will be sold as a special event product via Tamashii Web Shop, with a reference price of 14,850 JPY, and is scheduled for release in April 2024!
Kamen Rider Hibiki differed significantly from the preceding six Heisei Kamen Riders in terms of plot and design. Initially, it wasn't even categorized as a Kamen Rider, and its toy sales were the lowest among the 20 Heisei Riders. However, the series' artistic direction was exceptionally tasteful, still attracting a dedicated fanbase for Hibiki. The choice of "S.H.Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Hibiki" as the second release in the "Shinkocchou Seihou" series, which launched 10 years ago, also demonstrated Bandai's confidence in this line at the time.
The "Kamen Rider Hibiki 10th Anniversary Ver." retains the exquisite sculpting of the previous version and reinterprets it with a brand-new paint application. It utilizes polarized paint to recreate the texture of the Rider suit reflecting firelight as seen in the show, paired with the Ongekibou (Sound Attack Rod) featuring flame effects to reproduce the dazzling light and shadow during combat. This gives the highly acclaimed glossy purple paintwork from ten years ago even more depth! Similar to KABUTO, this version's display base also features the Shinkocchou Seihou 10th Anniversary logo and text, inviting all toy enthusiasts to celebrate this high-quality toy series that has been with us for 10 years!
