Brazilian statue manufacturer Iron Studios' Art Scale 1/10 scale statue series recently launched a new product based on the popular American comic "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin" — the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin" Art Scale 1/10 Scale Statue, with a suggested retail price of US$199.99, expected to ship in Q4 2024!
"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin" is a Ninja Turtles comic series published from 2020 to 2022. The story, spearheaded by Kevin Eastman, one of the original "Turtle Dads," describes a near-future where evil forces rise, New York City's security deteriorates, and the Ninja Turtles and their allies fall one by one in battle. Years later, the sole surviving Turtle embarks on a solo mission to avenge his fallen father and brothers, and to seek long-overdue justice for New York City.
This "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin" statue depicts the Last Ronin crouching atop a Japanese-style building, quietly observing enemy movements. In his right hand, he tightly grips the eye masks worn by his brothers in life, his solemn and pensive expression conveying the comic's dark and sorrowful atmosphere. The intricate sculpting captures the draped texture of his stealth suit's hood. The Last Ronin—Michelangelo—holds the nunchaku he once used, while on his back he carries the weapons of his brothers: Leonardo's katana, Raphael's sai, and Donatello's bo staff. As if burdened by the sins placed upon him, he quietly awaits the moment to strike in the dark night!
The comic story of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin" is quite spectacular, adding a dark, apocalyptic setting to the familiar tales of the four turtle heroes. The emotional portrayal of the characters is delicate, and the brilliant presentation of panels and layouts by artists Esau Escorza, Isaac Escorza, and Ben Bishop, interspersed with flashback sequences drawn by Kevin Eastman, one of the original creators of the Ninja Turtles series, offers an unprecedented experience for Ninja Turtles fans. It is highly recommended for toy enthusiasts who love the Ninja Turtles!
