GOOD SMILE COMPANY, a Japanese figure manufacturer, today announced the upcoming release of the latest special edition product from its affordable pre-painted figure series 'POP UP PARADE': "Fluted Armor" from From Software's masterpiece Demon’s Souls Remake, faithfully recreated on PS5, scheduled for September 2024.
Fluted Armor is the default armor used when players choose the "Knight" class in the game. It is also the most recognizable and popular equipment, appearing on the game's packaging cover and in the opening cinematic. This set of equipment not only boasts a cool design but also offers excellent overall defense and resistance, leading many players to likely use it throughout their entire playthrough.
As a special edition product, "POP UP PARADE SP Fluted Armor" boasts dimensions, sculpting precision, and paint quality that differ from the series' standard releases. Developed using the same digital prototype as the "figma Fluted Armor," this figure, standing approximately 24.5 cm tall, showcases the entire body's elaborate fluted patterns and chainmail details. It meticulously renders dents, damage, and other weathering effects on metal surfaces and leather edges, further enhanced with luxurious metallic paint and weathering applications to capture the armor's silvery-white luster and aged stains.
