Japanese toy company RE-MENT, known for creating exquisite accessories and miniature models, announced several new products yesterday (the 5th). Among them, two are themed around Snoopy from "Peanuts." This article will provide product information for the "Snoopy Antique Diorama Collection" (tentative translation, スヌーピー アンティーク ジオラマ コレクション) box set, scheduled for release in June 2024, with a suggested retail price of 1,100 JPY per box.
The highlight of this Snoopy box set is the concept of "seeing a world of PEANUTS within an object." While crafting exquisite, vintage-inspired items, a charming and captivating Snoopy life scene is created through a hollowed-out design! There are six styles in total, including a manual coffee grinder, a teapot, an alarm clock, a radio, a suitcase, and an old-fashioned antenna television. The miniature scenes inside are also related to the objects themselves. For example, inside the coffee grinder is a tiny coffee shop counter; inside the teapot is Snoopy and Woodstock enjoying afternoon tea; and inside the suitcase, a train seat scene is created. Each one is incredibly cute and ingeniously designed, growing more endearing the more you look at them!
