The 'Figure-rise Standard Amplified' series, released by the HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, which amplifies the expressive power of characters through assembly model specifications, recently teased a silhouette of the latest work from the 'Digimon' series, 'Paildramon (Amplified Version)', with a release date yet to be determined.
Paildramon is a Dragon Man-type Perfect Digimon, formed by the Jogress Evolution of V-mon EX (XV-mon) and Stingmon, the partner Digimon of Daisuke Motomiya and Ken Ichijouji, the protagonists of 'Digimon Adventure 02'. Its appearance resembles V-mon EX's body covered by Stingmon's armor, combining the power of a dragon with the strong defense and agility of an insect. Its armaments incorporate modern mechanical elements: its dual claws can be launched as grappling hooks with ropes to ensnare enemies, and its arm gauntlets are equipped with highly penetrating 'Stingers'. Its special move is the 'Desperado Blaster' located on both sides of its waist.
Although only a silhouette of the design draft has been revealed so far, the silhouette alone shows many 'amplified' differences from the original design. The two pairs of dragon wings on its back originally had a biological feel, and the armor on its forearms and thighs was more rounded. In the Amplified version, these are seen to have been changed to straight, mechanical lines. It can be anticipated that, similar to most previous Amplified Digimon, it will incorporate modern popular elements such as sharp angles, armor separation, and rich detailed panel lines.
