From Japan's PLEX company, distributed by X-PLUS, the "Toho 30cm Series" of exquisite Toho special effects monster models is releasing a new product based on the 2023 film "Godzilla-1.0" – "Godzilla (2023)". The reference price is 31,900 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in June 2024!
"Godzilla-1.0" is Toho's 33rd Godzilla film, the 5th of the Reiwa era, and commemorates Godzilla's 70th anniversary. The story returns to post-World War II Japan, recreating the destruction wrought by this nuclear behemoth on the human world and depicting how people in the aftermath confront the colossal disaster that strikes again. The compelling story, returning to the original setting, has been beloved by fans. The stunning visual effects, created by a mere 35-person special effects team, even led "Godzilla-1.0" to defeat Hollywood blockbusters like Marvel and Mission: Impossible to win the Best Visual Effects award at the recently concluded 96th Academy Awards!
This "Toho 30cm Series Godzilla-1.0" figure stands approximately 33 cm tall and measures about 53 cm long, faithfully recreating the imposing physique as it invades Ginza from Tokyo Bay via Shinagawa. The delicate sculpting showcases the muscle lines enveloped by the rough, rock-like skin, along with its fierce eyes and dust-covered paintwork, perfectly capturing Godzilla's appearance in the film as an unavoidable calamity descending upon the world!
