S.H.Figuarts, released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, is holding a special exhibition starting today (the 14th) to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the "Shinkocchou Seihou" series. Additionally, the latest work in this series, celebrating the 10th anniversary of "Kamen Rider Gaim," has been unveiled: "Kamen Rider Gaim Orange Arms." It has a suggested retail price of 9,900 JPY and is scheduled for release in August 2024!
"Kamen Rider Gaim," which aired in 2013, is the 15th installment of the Heisei Kamen Rider series. It tells the story of protagonist Kouta Kazuraba, who accidentally transforms into Kamen Rider Gaim in Zawame City, a burgeoning metropolis developed by the large Yggdrasill Corporation. He battles Inves and becomes embroiled in conflicts between Kamen Riders. The plot incorporates street dance culture, while the design combines elements of samurai, fruit, and locks, creating a stark contrast with the rings and astronomical devices of the previous two series, "Kamen Rider Wizard" and "Kamen Rider Fourze," making it quite refreshing at the time.
This "Kamen Rider Gaim Orange Arms" action figure, utilizing the Shinkocchou Seihou method of building outwards from a skeletal structure, presents a posture that is even closer to its on-screen appearance. It meticulously captures the intricate details of the Sengoku samurai armor and fruit elements in its design. The Sengoku Driver on the waist is faithfully recreated, with Strawberry and Pineapple Lockseeds hanging from one thigh. The Musou Saber can also be stored at Gaim's waist. In addition to the Musou Saber, accessories include the Orange Arms' iconic weapon, the Daidaimaru, which can be combined with the Musou Saber to pose Gaim in dynamic and cool stances!
The detachable armor design of this Kamen Rider Gaim series allows Gaim's various parts to be combined and played with other Kamen Rider Gaim series figures. The high versatility of the Lockseeds and accessories enables collectors to recreate Gaim's various forms from the show!
Furthermore, replacement parts sets for Kamen Rider Gaim's Strawberry Arms and Pineapple Arms have also been confirmed for commercialization, making us highly anticipate the experience of getting our hands on and playing with various composite forms of Gaim!
