From Japan's MECHA SMILE brand, the assembly model "MODEROID" series today announced the latest product from the classic robot anime "Madō King Granzort", the "King's Style Granzort Gold Version", scheduled for release in October 2024.
The difference between the Gold Version and the Standard Version is that the Standard Version of "King's Style Granzort" reproduces all parts except the eyes with plastic molded colors, while the Gold Version features pre-painted gold parts, gold electroplated parts, and metallic black electroplated heat sink parts, giving it a more substantial metallic texture. The golden blade of the weapon, "Earth God Sword" Lava Emperor Sword, also undergoes classic electroplating, making its dazzling luster even more impactful when wielded.
The "MODEROID King's Style Granzort" was designed and sculpted by Mr. Jeon, the representative toy designer of GOD BRAVE STUDIO in Korea. It reinterprets the original Granzort design by incorporating numerous modern popular elements. Compared to the 13.5 cm tall "MODEROID Granzort" which is faithful to the original, this version increases the overall size to a substantial 18.5 cm. Not only does the head-to-body ratio become taller and more stylish, but the previously flat armor design also gains more three-dimensional layers, engraved grooves, sharpened lines, internal structures resembling heat sinks, and the yellow areas are replaced with luxurious gold, enhancing the imagery of fire's heat and royalty.
The Standard Version of "MODEROID King's Style Granzort" reproduces all parts except the eyes with plastic molded colors. Once completed, various poses can be achieved through articulated designs such as pull-out mechanisms in the shoulders and ankles, and multiple interchangeable hand parts. It can be paired with the weapon, the "Earth God Sword" Lava Emperor Sword, which is longer than the main body, and its flame magic power effect parts to recreate cool battle scenes. Furthermore, thanks to the articulated design of each part, it can fully transform into "Face Mode" without needing to swap parts, and can be displayed in a floating state using the included "Magic Circle Display Stand".
