Japanese film distribution and merchandise manufacturer KLOCKWORX today announced the latest product from the popular manga series "Laid-Back Camp△", the "Chikuwa Sofubi Style", scheduled for release in July 2024.
Named after a cute food, "Chikuwa" is the beloved Chihuahua pet of Ena Saito, one of the main characters in "Laid-Back Camp△". Chikuwa is very lively, cute, and friendly. When it's cold, Chikuwa even snuggles into Ena's futon to sleep together, making every appearance incredibly heartwarming. Ena, who dotes on Chikuwa, often prepares various outfits for him and even bought an expensive dog tent, planning to take him camping once she gets her driver's license.
KLOCKWORX's "Chikuwa Sofubi Style" is based on the rabbit-eared design that appeared in Episode 11, "Christmas Camp" arc, of the anime's Season 1. This palm-sized soft vinyl figure, approximately 14 cm in length, features the rabbit ear headpiece, down jacket, and paw pad details. The soft colors from the anime are faithfully reproduced through paintwork, and Chikuwa's round eyes and tiny protruding tongue are incredibly adorable!
