Bandai's GASHAPON division, which previously released the "Sanrio Characters Melting" series, has announced the launch of its second series, the "Sanrio Characters Melting 2" Gashapon. Each capsule toy will have a suggested retail price of 300 JPY and is scheduled for release in the 5th week of this (March) month!
The "Sanrio Characters Melting" series combines popular Sanrio characters with the imagery of melting ice cream. The first series featured Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin, and Keroppi. This second series follows up with four brand new designs: My Melody, Kuromi, Pochacco, and Hangyodon! The four familiar characters are rendered in relatively low-saturation colors, echoing the low-saturation hues of ice cream. The combination of melting ice cream and nearly-melting Sanrio characters is simply too adorable...

The editor personally particularly loves Hangyodon's dizzy, spinning-from-the-heat, whole-fish-is-fainting look. It looks like I've found a companion to face the upcoming hot weather with!
